Código: 01-B-520-EXT-230-RS-W

Binary™ 520 Series 1080p HDBaseT Extender with IR, RS-232 (In-Wall RX)

This mighty Binary™ HDMI Extender goes the distance – transmitting HDMI signals up to 230 feet over a single Cat 5e/6 cable. Save valuable install time thanks to bi-directional Power over Cable (PoC), which eliminates the need to fit a bulky power supply behind the TV, and “plug and play” technology that bypasses frustrating EQ settings. And say goodbye to clock stretching issues. An embedded circuit ensures that communication between the extender and cable box is crystal clear. For the icing on the cake, you get robust control system integration that includes bi-directional IR and RS-232. Note: The receiver is an in-wall version and fits in dual gang wall plate.

4K Limitation - This product is compatible with HDMI 1.4/HDCP 1.4/2.0, thus limiting the video resolution to 4K @30Hz 4:2:0.
Power Supply Voltage - Binary HDBaseT HDMI extenders use a 12 Volt DC power supply. Using any other voltage product will result in damage to the product and possibly the power supply. Be sure to use the correct power supply with the correct product!
Shielded Cable Recommendation - Although HDBaseT transmission technology is much less susceptible to EMI interference than other transmission technologies, if possible, it is recommended that you pull shielded Cat5e/Cat6 with this product for maximum reliability. Please note: for proper shielding, shielded connectors must be used with drains connected at both ends. In addition, “EZ end” connectors are not recommended for use with HDMI extenders.

Clock Stretching Solution

This extender features an embedded circuit that solves clock stretching issues, when HDBaseT extenders are paired with some cable boxes.

HDMI with Full 3D Support

This extender offers full support of HDMI® with 3D, Deep Color (36bit) and HDCP 1.4, as well as support for Dolby® True HD, Dolby® Digital Plus, DTS™-HD Master and LPCM audio formats.

Local Outputs HDMI

To make things easier for you, we’ve included output for HDMI at the transmitter, eliminating the need for an external splitter device.

Power Options

The extender pair comes with Power over Cable (POC), meaning the extender can be powered from either side. There’s also an option for remote powering. If there's no outlet near your receiver, you can remotely power the extender. Everything you need is in the box, so just add a 16- or 18-gauge 2-conductor wire, and you're ready to go. The power supply can easily go in a rack or other out-of-the-way place.

Complete Control

Thanks to bi-directional IR and RS-232, you get no-hassle integration with a variety of control systems, and you can easily send IR signals from the TV location back to cable boxes, DVD players, and other source equipment at the head end. The IR connections feature active circuitry that supports a wide variety of IR and control system types.

A Perfect Fit

Having more options is never a bad thing. That’s why this wall plate receiver is specifically designed to fit any dual-gang J-box. It comes with a basic white decora plate, but you can swap it out for whatever color matches the install.

IR Flexibility

The dip switch gives you better install flexibility by providing power when connected to an IR receiver or by shutting off when connected to control systems.

Easy Firmware Upgrades

You never know when a new TV or BluRay player is going to throw you a curve ball. Upgradable firmware gives our software team the ability to update the system to handle any issues. Just flip the switch on the RS-232 port and upgrade on-site.

Built-In ESD and Surge Protection

Intelligent circuit design, perfected through extensive hardware testing, has resulted in a robust product with excellent ESD and surge protection that exceeds CE Level 3 standards. During development, every connection was tested with an ESD gun and a lightning simulator. They were hit with ESD at 15KV and surges up to 1600V.
