Episode® Digital Subwoofer Amplifier - 150W with 12V Trigger
The Episode® EA-AMP-SUB-1D-150 is a mono channel subwoofer amplifier capable of delivering 150 watts of clean power into 4 ohms. This system is ideal for multi-room audio applications and small multi-purpose home theater rooms. It has an LED power button in front, but volume, crossover and phase control in back for you to set optimum sound levels for the end user. No more accidental setting changes! It also features dual sub outs and RCA connections on back.
Crossover and Phase Controls
A rear-mounted rotary dial for crossover, phase, and volume control enables you to optimize any system for ultimate performance – providing more freedom and flexibility in your install.
Custom EQ Settings
The Episode amplifier offers flexibility to enable or disable EQ settings. Three EQ presets are optimized based on environmental factors and enclosure sizes.
- EQPreset A optimized for enclosures > 4 cu. ft.
- EQ Preset B optimized for enclosures 1-4 cu. ft.
- EQ Preset C optimized for enclosures < 1 cu. ft.
Power Mode Selection
Intelligent power management allows the amp to turn on automatically, either when an audio signal is detected or by using a 12V trigger from your AV receiver or processor. An illuminated front-mounted push button also allows you to turn the amplifier on or off when set to the always-on mode.
RCA line level inputs and pass-through outputs allow you to connect additional amplifiers, while the 12V trigger input and output allows you to connect another 12V trigger device; the amp also has dual sub outputs in parallel configuration.
Important Note: When two subwoofers are used in parallel configuration, the nominal impedance of each subwoofer should not be less than 8 ohm.
Rackmount Installation Option
Rack ears with three fastening points help eliminate sag when the amp is installed into a rack, while top cover and side panel ventilation slots allow for better airflow.
A limiter circuit has been incorporated into the amp to protect the connected subwoofer from harsh or damaging distortion that could not only ruin the listening experience, but the woofer itself.
